In a second round of financing, Ovesco Endoscopy is investing 1.1 million euros and increasing its stake in Trans-Duodenal Concepts GmbH to 25%. The investment will be used, among other things, to conduct a clinical trial and prepare for production. <\/strong><\/p>\n Trans-Duodenal Concepts GmbH is developing an endoscopically implantable tubular prosthesis that lines the duodenum, thereby preventing the absorption of nutrients in the upper small intestine. This promotes weight loss and, for example, improves blood sugar management in patients with diabetes. The prosthesis can be removed after six months. With BARS\u00ae, a product designed to reduce dilated anastomoses\u2014such as those that occur after gastric bypass surgery\u2014Ovesco Endoscopy AG has already established itself in the endoscopic treatment of complications following bariatric procedures. <\/p>\n \u201cWith our solution, we are bridging the gap between conservative therapy and highly invasive surgical treatment for obesity,\u201d explains Prof. Dr. med.
